What is not covered

Quotations from other authors are marked on the page and reproduced under the UK quotation exception (Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, section 30(1ZA)). They remain the copyright of their authors. Public-domain images from museums and the 1909 Rider printings of Pamela Colman Smith’s tarot art are in the public domain and carry their own source notes. Registered names such as PMAI are referred to descriptively and belong to their owners.

Why this stack

CC BY on prose lets anyone build on the writing. CC0 on data lets Wikidata editors and corpus builders take the records without attribution stacking. Marking quotations keeps the grant honest: the site only licenses what it owns.
